Living outside of Munich means that I see a lot of camouflaged BMWs. This time I even managed to snap a picture for you. To me this looks like a facelift for the 1 series is in the works.
The front was equally camo'ed, but of course impossible to take pics of.

It's clearly a 1-series, and due to the camouflage I doubt it's a test mule. I think your guess that this is a facelifted model seems very plausible.
